The Rosebud Shawl is a pretty piece of lace knitting, meaning that every 'other row' is plain knitting. This is a large shawl approx. 54 inches / 135 cms square and uses traditional Shetland lace motifs in the design. This makes for a quick and relatively easy project, the centre is knitted first, then the borders knitted outwards, either all four at once (experienced method) or each border made separately (easy method). Then the edging is knitted around.

A good project for the moderately experienced knitter. Uses 5 x 25 gm balls of Shetland Cobweb 1 ply wool with British size 9 (3.75 mm, American 4) circular needle 24" (60 cms) long.
