This Christening Robe - from the book 'Heirloom Knitting' - measures approx. 90 cm / 36 inches and is knitted in Shetland Cobweb 1 Ply wool. It is made in two pieces: a sleeved, basically plain underdress together with an elaborately patterned apron-like overdress. The overdress is shorter than the underdress so that the lacy edging of the underdress is shown.
