Dressing Wires (US : Blocking Wires) are a wonderful aid for the specialist knitter wanting to dress/block regular shapes - such as the triangles, rectangles and squares used for shawls and stoles.
Using wires is the convenient modern alternative to using lots of pins or the more cumbersome traditional wooden knitting frames and provide a speedy and safe way to obtain a regular tension in the drying piece (click image for examples).
Kit Contains
4 x Short Wires - approx. 12 inches / 30cm long
4 x Middle Wires - approx. 22 inches / 58 cm long
8 x Long Wires - approx. 34 inches / 88 cm long
These hand-finished wires are made by us from high quality stainless steel with a diameter of 2.35 mm (equals UK 13 / US 0/1). Also included are full instructions, a pack of mixed sized safety pins - minimum quantity 24 - to be used when dressing / blocking and a 60 inch / 150 cm tape measure. The kit will be sent to you in a sturdy storage tube.
