This lovely design is worked from an antique Shetland Veil of c1900 - 1930 and has been recreated in suitable natural yarns with choices for an alternative centre, border and edging.
The project is aimed at the ultra-skilled Shetland lace knitter and with this in mind, for the first time, we demonstrate some of the underlying calculations and other points that effect the knitting and finish of a shawl.
