The Edwardian Lace Wrap is a most pretty stole using a traditional ‘repeating diamond’ pattern. I selected a drop edging - made with a large decrease – to give a neatly discreet finish. All in all, the effect is one of subtle or understated charm.
It measures approx 25 inches/ 62.5cm wide and 72 inches/180cm long and uses 3 balls of Rowan Yarn’s Kidsilk Haze mohair silk ~ shade 595 'Liquor', which pairs perfectly with this type of elegant lace knitting ~ the airiness of the mohair complementing the fine openness of the stitches.
The pattern is given both as a chart and in written form with helpful detailed advice for its making and aftercare.
