Especially for lace knitters, this Australian pure Merino wool has been spun in Italy to be an ultra fine 2 ply equalling 350m/380yds per 25gm (this makes it slightly finer than the Shetland 1 ply Cobweb). Merino is noted for its very soft handle and because of the wool's long staple, can be spun very finely into a high quality lace weight yarn which blocks extremely well (hand wash only!).
We offer this yarn in 37 gorgeous colours and supply it pre-wound by us into approx. 25 gm balls ~ £3.25 per 25gm.
