Gossamer Cashmere is much finer (meaning 'skinnier') than any yet for sale worldwide – indeed it is almost twice as fine as our own Cashsilk (that's at 28,000 m/kg) as this 100% Cashmere is a staggering 45,000 m/kg. (Technical stuff : this Italian spun yarn is a 2/90NM, meaning it is of 90,000m/kg plied by 2 – to make 45,000m/kg.) This fineness makes it very breathy and delicate, but being a plied yarn it is surprisingly strong and well balanced; so it's easy to knit with, and has Cashmere's exceptional soft halo, handle and drape when dressed.
